Taj Phitakraxanti is a Thai national born in 1984. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Civil Engineering from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. From December 2007 to 2009, he worked as a Structural Engineer at Halcrow (Thailand) Co., Ltd. During this time, he was responsible for structural analysis, design, and site investigations for a variety of projects. In August 2009, he joined Tandem Architects (2001) Co., Ltd. as a Marketing Manager. He later advanced to the role of Managing Director at the company, a position he has held since 2016. Combining his expertise from structure engineering and architectural experience for more than 15 years, he leads Tandem Architects (2001) into one of the top10 thai architectural firm.

Roger had more than a decade experience in Facades, specializing in the design of Stick Wall System, and Waitised Curtain Wall System, and other cladding system. He had worked with various prestigious Facade Contractors well known worldwide. With his solid and hands on design experience, Roger can determine how a curtain wall system design should work properly and efficiently.

He has extensive experience in the whole process of facade works, from the design concept, cost study and value engineering, to the fabrication and assembly of panels in the factory, and site installation. Summing all these, would be a good factor to give Clients sound and proper advice regarding any type of building envelope for the benefit of the project.

Somkiat has extensive 30 years experience in office and residential building design. At A49, he has worked on major projects such as the Cementhai Building Product Center, the Tsunami Memorial and high-end residential buildings. Somkiat was also responsible for all overseas projects during his tenure at Architects 49 International, with a portfolio ranging from Abu Dhabi-Dubai to Kuala Lumpur. Somkiat taught at Silpakorn University from 1996 to 2003, and served as a member of the board of the SilpakornUniversity Alumni Association during 1999 and 2000.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Silpakorn University in 1986 and attained a Master’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1989. Somkiat practiced in Los Angeles at Charles Moore with Urban Innovations Group and at K.Y. Cheung Design Associates. Returning to Thailand, he worked as a senior architect at Design+Develop from 1992 to 1995 and at Palmer & Turner from 1995 to 1996. After practicing independently for seven years, Somkiat joined Architects 49 as a Senior Architect. He was later promoted to Director at Architects 49 International.

He is a Certified SGMM (Singapore Green Mark Manager), enable him to understand sustainable design requirements from Architectural and practical perspectives. He has managed and delivered several large projects with highly practical and efficient designs resulted successful implementations such as Mondeal Heights, The Park, Brigade Tech Garden, Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore. ASPTM Hospital, Vietnam.

Andrew is an owner and Managing Director at Façade Associates a façade consultancy established in Bangkok in 2010. He has long experience in the Asia façade industry dating back to 1995 with periods as a façade designer for façade contractors in Thailand, Singapore and PR China, and as a façadesproject managerand lead façade systems designer in Singapore and Thailand for a global multi-disciplinary engineering firm. Andrew has also worked as the internal façade design resource within architectural practices for the award-winning One New Change, London, and the recently opened Louvre, Abu Dhabi. Andrew leads work on a wide-range of development types in Bangkok from retail: ZEN at Central World, Central Festival Lampang, Rayong, and Phuket; to office: Singha HQ, UOB(Thai)Sukhumwit, The Parq, Tipco Extension; to residential: Mahanakhon Tower and Cube, Sindhorn Village, 28 Chidlom, The Esse (Sukhumwit 36). His approach is one of pre-emptive and pro-active problem solving coupled with quick generation of construction grade details to allow optimisation by iteration.Andrew sees the ever-improving interoperability between design softwares as a key driver of efficient buildable façade design as architectural designs continue to increase in complexity of form and material usage.

Malvinder Singh Rooprai, Architectural Market Development Manager & Technical Consultant for PVB division of Kuraray, is based out of New Delhi – INDIA. His key responsibilities are to grow the market for value added products under the umbrella of Trosifol® in Asia Pacific region.

His academic background in structural engineering and working experience as structural façade engineer enables him to provide technical consultancy on laminated glass applications to façade consultants, architects laminators. He has a rich experience on finite element modeling of laminated glass for analyzing the effects of viscoelastic behavior of polymeric interlayers on the structural performance of laminated glass panels in architectural applications. He has provided consulting support on structural analysis of laminated glass in various iconic projects like Shanghai Tower, Lotte Tower, World One in AP region. He complex applications like blast & bullet resistant glazings.

Malvinder has presented papers on laminated glass with Ionomer interlayers in events like GPD, World of Facades at Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo & Singapore. He has also presented on structural performance of laminated glass at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He did his Masters in Structural Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala – India and did his dissertation work on Wind Load Modeling in Tall Rectangular Buildings including Interference effects by Artificial Neural Networks.

Achim is responsible for the international markets outside Europe at Jansen AG, Switzerland. With more than 20 years of experience in engineering and management, Achim focuses on technology, sales and marketing at Jansen AG to distribute steel facades, windows and doors in the markets he serves.

Originally from Germany, Achim has lived and worked in the United Arab Emirates for the past eight years. Over the past 20 years, he has worked in various countries in Europe and Asia before discovering his passion for the design freedom that steel façades, windows and doors offer in modern architecture.

Global challenges are a personal incentive for Achim to establish and optimize processes to help architects around the world to continually redefine the limits of steel.

Jayrold has over 10 years experiences in the built environment, providing technical, application and consulting expertise to stakeholders in the curtain wall and construction industry.

He has helped many clients to achieve energy efficient, durable, well-designed facade for high-performance building projects with silicone and material science technology.

Prior to joining Dow, he worked for a major façade consultancy firm and was involved in some tall building project projects in different parts of the world. Jayrold has a degree in Civil Engineering.

Richard Wood is the Managing Director Asia at Snøhetta with a focus on developing the firm's projects and values throughout the Asia region.

Richard has lived and worked in the region since 2012, designing and leading large public and institutional buildings, and urban planning projects throughout. His selected projects at Snøhetta include Tokyo Shibuya Upper West Project, NOT A Hotel Rusutsu in Japan, Kota Kinabalu Masterplan in Malaysia, and among others.

Besides his design practice, Richard is also actively involved in architectural and design education, such as teaching at Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design, and keynote presentations at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, FIND Singapore 2024, Art Basel Hong Kong 2024 and among others.

Richard received his Master of Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, UK. He is a member of the Royal British Institute of Architects.
